Context

When using CodeRabbit with Azure DevOps, you might notice that some users from your organization are not visible in the user list, making it impossible to assign them seats in CodeRabbit.

Answer

This is due to a limitation in Azure DevOps integration where CodeRabbit can only detect users who have actively interacted with the repository through pull requests or comments.

To make users visible in CodeRabbit:

  1. Have the "missing" users perform one of these actions in Azure DevOps:

    1. Create a pull request, or

    2. Add a comment to any existing pull request

  2. Once they have performed either action, they should appear in the CodeRabbit user list

  3. You may then proceed to assign seats to these users
